"Matrix" for soprano and piano by Bay Area favorite Elinor Armer(b. 1939), set to poems by two other Bay Area icons, Ursula Le Guin (1929-2018) and Rella Lossy (1944-1996). Listen to Armer's "Will You Won't You":
"The Light Within the Dark" for soprano, English horn, violin, cello, and piano, by E4TT composer and co-founder David Garner (b. 1954), to poems from Gripe Water by Gini Savage (1944-2018) and Rhina Espaillat (b. 1932). "Mother Love" for soprano, violin, and piano to poems about Persephone and Demeter by Pulitzer-winning, U.S. Poet Laureate, Rita Dove by emerging composer and recent SF Conservatory of Music graduate Brennan Stokes (b. 1990). Listen to his Canciones del Paraiso:
PLUS "Rest These Hands" (2014) for solo violin by exciting Grammy-winning composer, based on a poem by her mother "Anna Clyne (b. 1980). Listen to it here:
